Description: Ride Connection seeks a Lead Service Planner. At Ride Connection we’re passionate about moving people. We are looking for someone who has a desire to impact how we address the growing need for specialized, on-demand transportation services for people of all abilities in the Portland region. Transportation lies at the heart of equity, allowing people access to the things they need to survive and thrive. Last year we provided over half a million rides. We have built and continue to develop programs that allow us to provide the best option for each individual, suited to their level of need. Duties and Responsibilities: As Lead Service Planner you will work with a talented team to maintain current partnerships with transportation service providers and create new programs to meet the ever changing needs of our community members. In this role you will also manage and implement public transit services such as last mile connector services, working with Transportation Managers, Drivers, riders and local transit agencies to coordinate efficient and well-traveled service.

Qualifications:

  • B.A., degree in a related field with a minimum two years of progressively responsible experience in transportation planning.
  • Ability to analyze transportation service delivery and recommend improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of people and groups including government agencies, public transit agencies, small and large transportation providers and nonprofit organizations
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills
