Description: WSDOT has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transportation professional who will work directly with 32 transit agencies, 4 fixed rail – guideway programs, tribes, cities, counties and more than 170 grantees to help ensure the safety of the travelling public throughout the State of Washington.

Duties and Responsibilities: The primary objective of this position is to help ensure public and worker safety on public transportation systems through the development and implementation of safety standards, policies, programs, and procedures. This leadership position provides safety oversight of rail transit authorities (including Sound Transit, the Monorail, Seattle Streetcars, and Tacoma Link), drug and alcohol prevention programs, and public transportation asset management.
