Salary: The hiring range for this position is $19.26 – $28.88/hourly, plus an excellent fringe benefit package.

Description: The City of Appleton is accepting applications for the position of Travel Training Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities: This positions provides individualized training and support to Valley Transit riders to learn safe and proper use of public transportation with an emphasis on, but not limited to, individuals with disabilities and older adults. Work involves working closely with the mobility manager to conduct outreach, training and informational sessions to promote travel training services. Responsibilities include building collaborative relationships in area schools, non-profit organizations and employers throughout the Valley Transit service area to identify training needs and goal driven outcomes. This position works under general supervision of the Mobility Manager.

Qualifications: An associates degree in health or human services, education or related field plus at least one year of experience working with aging/disabled adults preferred. Regular attendance required.
