CTAA Legislative Fly-In

Join fellow transit leaders, CTAA staff and Board of Directors on Capitol Hill speaking to policymakers about legislative priorities for community transportation and telling the unique story of your agency/system with representatives from your state and region.
Attendees will be provided with resources and coaching from CTAA. Save the date – briefing webinar 2-3 p.m. EST Jan. 30, 2025 for all attendees (RECORDING NOW AVAILABLE IN RESOURCES). Office hours 2-3 p.m. EST Feb. 25, 2025.
Events surrounding the Legislative Fly-in will all be held at the iconic National Press Club in downtown Washington D.C.

Wednesday, March 5
4:00 p.m. - Legislative Fly-In Briefing
Gather to discuss CTAA’s legislative priorities and pressing issues in the transit industry. A briefing on expectations for the Fly-In will be provided by CTAA’s Scott Bogren and Hill staffers.
5:00 p.m. - Mix and Mingle
Mix and Mingle with CTAA’s board of directors, Leadership Academy participants, and other VIPs over light bites and libations from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Thursday, March 6
8:00 a.m. - Legislative Fly-In Breakfast
Breakfast will be available from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., feel free to come casual if your meetings are later in the day.
9:30 a.m. - Meetings begin on Capitol Hill
If your meetings begin later in the day, join the rest of the group as your schedule allows.
We will gather in small groups as space allows in the Congressional cafeterias. The cafeterias offer a wide range of lunch options for purchase.
5:15 p.m. - Legislative Fly-In Celebration
After an electrifying day on The Hill, join fellow transit advocates for heavy hors d'oeuvres and thirst quenching beverages from 5:15 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday, March 7
8:00 a.m. - FTA Legislative Breakfast and Meeting
Join us for breakfast and a dialog with FTA leadership from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
