I am fully committed to our mission. In addition to running a small urban transit system in Oregon, I also sit on the commission overseeing our state’s Department of Transportation and I know how vital transportation is in all communities,” shares Julie Brown. “I eagerly anticipate working together with the board and CTAA staff to accomplish our vision together. It is essential that we remain strong as an organization, especially as our partners and members face new challenges. A robust organization thrives with an engaged board.”
Kristen Joyner, Executive Director of the Georgia Transit Association and Executive Manager for the Northeast Passenger Transportation Association (NEPTA), as well as the immediate past president of the CTAA board, shared “It’s a privilege to give back and serve the industry, and I am grateful for my time as the CTAA Board President. My advice to the incoming board leadership is to ensure our core principles should remain constant, regardless of the political climate. CTAA’s focus areas and strategic plan will guide us effectively moving forward. A strong and diverse board of directors will also empower us to update the strategic plan as necessary to keep it relevant.”
“CTAA has always been led at the Board-level by some of the most innovative and effective transit leaders around the nation, and our recent Board officer elections will continue that legacy. We’re grateful to have Julie’s leadership and eager to see the new directions she takes the CTAA Board. I would also like to thank Kristen Joyner for her commitment and leadership of the CTAA Board for the past two years. Our continued growth and support of CTAA members has been at the forefront of Kristen’s leadership,” shared Scott Bogren, Executive Director, during the meeting.
