Description: The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge and Structures Office is seeking a talented leader to become our new Bridge Preservation Engineer in Tumwater, Wash.

Duties and Responsibilities: This position leads the statewide bridge and tunnel preservation program. The primary focus of this position is to direct work operations of the Bridge Preservation section (six units with 74 employees) and to develop and implement WSDOT strategies, policies, and programs for preservation and risk reduction for 3200 state bridges/tunnels and other transportation structures. This includes a comprehensive inspection and assessment program to ensure structural integrity and public safety, as well as both the technical and inspection service to cities, counties and other public entities.
