DescriptionThe Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking an experienced Information Technology Specialist to fill the role of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Application Developer.

Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, the incumbent will specialize in the area of geospatial application design, development, maintenance and support. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining software solutions that use geospatial technologies to produce solutions for the traveling public and WSDOT staff.

The Transportation Data, GIS and Modeling Office provides applications and components that WSDOT staff use to spatially understand enterprise data and deliver actionable information. As a member of the GIS Development team you will use geospatial technology to deliver custom interactive applications with embedded maps and analysis tools.  These applications are viewed thousands of time day by the traveling public and internal WSDOT Staff.
