Presidential Candidate Amy Klobuchar's Infrastructure Plan

Presidential Candidate Amy Klobuchar has released a plan to “build America’s infrastructure; ” a $1 trillion infrastructure package that her administration would pursue should she be elected President.

In an effort to ensure that CTAA members are familiar with the potential Presidential candidates’ proposed infrastructure policy, we will be releasing key highlights of every candidate’s policy proposals.

If elected, Klobuchar is promising to enact the following changes to public transportation:

  • Introduce a $650 billion increase in federal spending on infrastructure programs, including increased investments in mass transit.
  • Expand reliable public transit options by increasing investments in public transit with a focus on decreasing barriers to opportunity and reducing energy consumption.
