Staff Profile: Sage Kashner

1. Briefly tell us about your role and responsibilities at CTAA.

a) I am the Communications Associate at the National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM). I manage our blog, our monthly newsletter, publicity for our grants and resources, and a lot of other miscellanea.

2. What is your favorite part of your job? What is most challenging?

a) My favorite part of my job is writing our monthly newsletter. Combining all the relevant resources and open grants with current news is a great way to see what is happening in the mobility world each month and there is always something new happening. The most challenging part is compiling all of the statistics and data that we need.

3. How do you commute to CTAA HQ?

a) I commute to and from the CTAA office by bus. There are a few buses that go directly north and south in D.C. and I can catch any of them to get to and from my apartment that is almost directly north of the office.

4. What’s one thing you’re learning now or learned recently?

a) I’ve been learning more about human centered design recently. NCMM uses it as our basis for a lot of our work so I’ve been reading and watching webinars about it a lot recently.

5. What two nonessential items would you want if you were shipwrecked on a deserted island?

a) If I was trapped on a desert island I would bring my Kindle and a solar battery to charge it with and finally catch up on all the books on my “to read” list.
